SaasCart Taxes Management

The Taxes Management feature in SaasCart allows administrators to create, update, and organize tax rates that apply to products. This ensures that the correct tax amount is added to customer purchases based on the configured settings.


Key Features

  • Add Tax: Use the + Add Tax button to create new tax rules for different regions or product categories.
  • View Tax List: The main table displays all existing tax entries, showing each tax’s name, creation date, status, and action options.

Adding a New Tax

  1. Add Tax Button: Click on + Add Tax to open the tax creation form.
  2. Enter Tax Details: Fill in the required details, such as the tax name, rate, and applicable regions.
  3. Save: Once all the information is entered, click Save to add the new tax rate to the list.

Managing Existing Taxes

  1. Toggle Tax Status: Use the toggle switch in the Status column to enable or disable a tax. Disabled taxes will not be applied to purchases.
  2. Edit Tax: Click the edit icon (pencil) next to any tax to update its details, such as the tax rate or name.
  3. Delete Tax: Remove a tax permanently by clicking the delete icon (trash can) in the Action column.

Best Practices

  • Keep Tax Rates Updated: Regularly review and update tax rates to comply with regional tax laws and regulations.
  • Organize Taxes by Region: Create separate tax entries for different regions to ensure accurate tax calculations for each customer location.
  • Enable Only Active Taxes: Use the status toggle to manage which taxes are currently in effect, ensuring that outdated tax rates do not affect customer purchases.
